Steve Wershing, CFP®, is President of The Client Driven Practice, a firm that assists financial advisors in gathering client feedback and developing referral marketing plans. Bob Veres, publisher of Inside Information and creator of the Insiders’ Forum,  has called Steve “the best marketing mind in financial planning.” A sought after speaking (download his Speaker Kit here), Wershing’s book, Stop Asking for Referrals and Get More Than You Ever Have, was published by McGraw Hill in 2012.

Wershing has authored articles or been quoted in many trade and popular publications including Journal of Financial Planning, Financial Advisor, Investment Advisor, Investment News and USA Today.  In addition to his own blog, he writes for the websites Advisors4Advisors.com and Financial-Planning.com – the editors even dubbed him “The Referral Doctor”.

Before dedicating himself to coaching advisors full-time, he built a regional broker/dealer and ran a national independent advisory firm before that. He has been in the investment business for 27 years.
